Blue Moon and a Blade

In other news, my replacement athame arrived yesterday.  And oh my goodness, it's GORGEOUS.  It's got some serious heft to it and I love it.

There are two knobs on the antler handle that I'm probably going to sand down and they don't quite fit comfortably in my hand.  But other than that, it's a stunner!  The photos just do not do it justice.  I can feel a lot of power in this guy (yep, I already can tell it's male....weird because I pretty much only deal with female energies).  I'll bless him during the Blue Moon tonight.  The full cleansing and consecration ritual will have to wait until after my MoonTime is done and the blade as told me his name.

I can't wait to use him to Cast Circle.  *smiles*
 

Holly Got a New Toy

We had to go buy Holly a new blue ball, as the one she currently has it getting quite ragged and flappy.

I found a Halloween toy that has a ball in the center and two thick rope loops coming out of it.  It was only $5, so we grabbed it.

She LOVES it.

Alas, she's already managed to split the tennis ball (you can see it on the white seam in the above photo).  These toys just aren't made for the bone crushing abilities of her jaws.  *chuckles*
