I finished reading The Kingdom of Little Wounds by Susann
Cokal today. It started getting
better…and then it took one hell of a nosedive towards the end. And then hinted at a “happily ever after” at
the very end. But yeah, I would
certainly NOT recommend this book for teens.
Even the 17 to 19 age range, I would let them know it’s a pretty
anti-sex, pro-child marriage story. It’s
a fairy tale…like the original Grimm’s Fairy Tales before they were sanitized
for children….plus a LOT of crappy devious shit to make it so much worse.
So in non-rape-y book news…..I dunno what to talk
about. ::laughs::
