1 AM: Revisited

Let’s go with another 1 AM stream of conscious writing.

·         I fucking hate my aide, Amber.  And it’s taking everything in my power NOT to simply be vicious to her.  I need to suck it up and talk to her about correcting her deficiencies.  But right now I am (perversely) relishing the rage.
·         Depression is getting bad once more.  And it’s usually in the evenings.  Not sure what that’s all about, but it needs to knock that shit off.
·         Last Full Moon of the year is tonight.  Other than blessing my new necklace (Midnight Maiden), I don’t really have anything on the “Pagan Agenda”.
·         Hazel Nut has dropped off the radar once more.  This time, I will not be tumbling down that rabbit hole after her.  I need to write up a properly entry on all that and how Archangel Azrael ties into that.
·         I’ve decided my Tabula Rasa ritual will happen on December 29th – the last new Moon of 2016.  Seems like a good day to spend in ritual, wiping the slate clean.
·         Actually got a lot of the tedious, yet necessary, work accomplished at the after school program – namely filing paperwork (about 2.5 weeks’ worth), shredding appropriate papers, updating Gail on our crafts, and doing a new seating chart.  Now I just need to re-do our reward system board and print out the Parent Letters about our Winter Break party and do Jess’s evaluation, and it’ll be COASTING time!  ::chuckles::
·         Hmmm, didn’t have a single headache today.  It’s been about a week since I could say that.  I typically have a low grade one at some point (usually multiple points) throughout the day.  I’ve made it a point to increase my water intake (though it’s nowhere near where it needs to be), but maybe the thyroid medicine IS helping as well.  Either way, it is a nice change of scenery.

1 AM Thoughts

Be warned. This following paragraph was purely stream of conscious writing from 1 am this morning.

This semester is finally winding down. Just EIGHT more days until the after school program is out for Winter Break. Final grades for this semester of Grad school will be posted by the end of the week. My “Midnight Maiden” necklace arrived this past Friday. Last Full Moon of 2016 is on Wednesday. My family is doing our Christmas celebration this coming weekend. yule is on the 21st (which is also an “early release” day – which translates into a LONG day for the after school program). I’m babysitting on the 22nd. I still need to begin doing the prep work (namely my Year Review of 2016) for my Tabula Rasa ritual. I need to finish up my last 2 staff mid-year evaluations. I need to clean out Leviathan’s tank, top to bottom and everything in between.

Thankful Thursday

I am grateful….
1.       I am done with my 2nd semester of grad school.
2.       Done with my “evaluation” – what a joke.  But it was an extra 2 hours of pay, so I’ll take that for sure.
3.       Having Jessica K. (a previous aide from 2 years ago) sub on my campus today.  It was fun catching up with her.
4.       My Christmas cards finally came in and I’ve got them all addressed and stamped and ready to go soon (mailed out the out of country ones today, so hopefully they’ll make it close to Christmas time).
5.       Mah New Drum.  I am so in love with her deep voice (compared to The Red Drum).  It gives me chills to feel her beat deep within my chest.
6.       Goofy shit my husband and I say and do all the time that keeps us cracking up all the time.  ::laughs:: It’s a LOT of non-PC comments and jokes that we would never say outside of the house, but inside?  Inside, we have all sorts of hilarious zingers.
7.       The year is winding down.  It’s finally gotten cold here.  Winter is finally making an appearance.
8.       Our little home.  It ain’t much, but it’s perfect for the two of us right now.
9.       Good friends and good family and great times spent with them.
10.   That tomorrow is Friday and then I get the weekend off of most responsibilities!  Woohoo!  Can’t wait to just veg the fuck out.

DONE

Fuck yeah.
Just turned in my final reading synthesis for this semester.

alt text

Holy crap. I am SO glad to be done with this semester.

I was debating if I would take 3 classes next semester, and I can honestly say, I won’t be able to handle the mental strain. This semester was pretty brutal on me mentally and I’m not looking to ADD to that. ::laughs::

So yeah, I’ll be sticking with just 2 classes plus work. That’s more than enough for me.

Once I get through tomorrow (my work evaluation at 9:30 am; work luncheon and meeting 12:30 - 2 pm; work from 2 pm - 7 pm), I can start looking at what classes I’ll take in the Spring Semester.

So the jury is still out on grades. I MIGHT be pulling off an A- in INFO 5600 (Information Access and Knowledge Inquiry). That would be nice. I’m currently sitting at an 89.1 average.

And in INFO 5300 (Management of Information Agencies), I’m pretty damn confident I’ll end up with an A. I’m currently sitting at a 96.8 average for that class – and I typically get a 100/100 on my Reading Synthesis papers.

Thankful Saturday

I am thankful…
1.       I am done with all the assignments for INFO 5600 (Information Access and Knowledge Inquiry).  Just waiting on my last assignment to be graded and I will be completely done with that damn class.
2.       Catching up on sleep last night.  Holy hell, I slept 10 HOURS.  Apparently the powerful combo of rain and cold weather was enough to trigger some hibernation!  ::laughs::
3.       Mailed out John’s journal to Annette today, even if it ended up being a ridiculous ordeal.  But that seems to be the running theme for today, so I just rolled with it and did what I had to do to get things done today.
4.       My drum arrived safe and sound from Brandy.  And damn, I am utterly in love with that drum.  So much love!
5.       That even though I miss the days that I was so damn sure about my Path, I am grateful for the fact that I’m challenged to grow and to walk my own Path.
6.       Hot water.  With the cooler weather, hot water is friggin’ AMAZING.
7.       My excellent aides, even when they annoy me.  ::laughs::  But all in all, I think I have a very good core group here and I’m happy.
8.       That 2016 is almost over.  I plan to do some hardcore banishing on the last day of 2016.  It’s been a brutal year and I’m ready to close the chapter on it already.
9.       Working out a budget to replenish the money I had to take out of savings to cover unexpected bills.  Now, I just have to stick with it!  ::laughs::
10.   That Thanksgiving was good and that my worries of there being political tension (I’m one of the FEW members of the family that did not vote for Trump) were completely unfounded.  Plus it was nice to be able to share the family tree work I’ve been doing with all of them.
